Sloan and I met in college at The University of Texas at Austin and married soon after my graduation in 1994. We know God brought us together and we feel so blessed for the life and beautiful family He has given us. Both of us love a good challenge. If it is Sloan competing in an Ironman or me chasing after our three active kiddos, we have always shared an enthusiasm for life! We love to laugh, have fun - and enjoy life to the fullest.
I suppose our most recent challenge was to write a book that exposes a time in our life that was not as "fairy tale" as other parts. We accepted.
What our book "I'm Still Sexy, So What's Up With Him" stems from is our personal experience dealing with the effects of Low Testosterone. When Sloan became stoic and isolated during his surgical residency, I knew it was not just the demands at the hospital to blame. I finally had the courage to ask him some tough questions (trust me, this wasn't easy) that led to his diagnosis and treatment for Low T.
As you will read in the book, we don't believe in mediocrity. We believe in living life to the fullest. Something was wrong with Sloan, he had the T level of an 80 year old man. The treatment is simple, and he is back to the man that I know, love and delight in.
We hope that by sharing our story, Sloan's research and the amazing information out there on Testosterone Replacement Therapy - that we can encourage every man and the women that love them to make sure he knows his T-level.
